Trees are the biggest liability on most commercial properties. A cracked limb over a parking space, a coconut cluster above a pool deck, or a canopy hanging into a monument sign all turn into claims, complaints and board agenda items. Most of the problems are visible months before they cause damage. Nobody is assigned to look.

Green Image provides the commercial tree service Boca Raton associations, condos, office parks and retail centers use, and we cover all of Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties. We inspect, prioritize and do the work on a schedule your board approves, and every visit is documented with photos so you can show what was done and when.

What Our Commercial Tree Service in Boca Raton Includes

Tree care for HOAs and commercial properties is a set of related jobs. We handle all of them under one account so you are not coordinating 3 vendors.

  • Tree trimming: canopy raising over sidewalks and drive aisles, clearance from buildings and roofs, and thinning to reduce wind load. See commercial tree trimming.
  • Tree removal: dead, declining, storm damaged and hazard trees, with a permit check before work starts. See tree removal.
  • Stump grinding: stumps ground below grade so the area can be sodded, mulched or replanted.
  • Palm care: dead frond removal, coconut removal and seed pod removal on coconut, royal, queen, foxtail and date palms. See palm tree trimming.
  • Storm response: pre season prep and post storm cleanup for communities and commercial sites.

The Risks Property Managers Actually Get Called About

Boards rarely call about tree health. They call about what trees do to people, cars and buildings. These are the issues we look for on every walk:

  1. Falling fronds and fruit: a dead palm frond can weigh enough to dent a car. Coconuts falling from height are a real injury risk near pools, entries and parking.
  2. Low limbs over walkways and parking: branches that hit pedestrians, delivery trucks or landscape crews.
  3. Blocked sight lines: canopies that hide stop signs, entrance gates, monument signs and tenant signage.
  4. Stained and slippery pavers: palm fruit and seed pods that drop on walkways, pool decks and driveways.
  5. Roof and building contact: limbs rubbing roofs, gutters, screens and lighting.
  6. Weak structure before hurricane season: dead wood, split leaders and top heavy canopies that are likely to fail in high wind.

Hurricane Season and Palm Care Done Right

The Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30. The right time to prepare trees is before June, not when a storm is in the forecast and every crew in South Florida is booked.

Good prep means removing dead wood, thinning dense canopies so wind passes through, and taking down coconuts and loose dead fronds that turn into projectiles. It does not mean a “hurricane cut.” Stripping a palm down to a few fronds at the top weakens it, slows its recovery and removes the green fronds it needs to make food. University of Florida extension guidance is consistent on this: remove dead and dying fronds, leave the healthy green canopy. Our crews prune trees and palms to industry standards and will tell you plainly when a requested cut would harm the tree.

How a Tree Program Works With Green Image

  1. Walk the property: we inventory trees and palms by area and flag hazards, clearance issues and declining trees.
  2. Written assessment: within 72 hours you get a Property Assessment with photos and plain recommendations, sorted by priority.
  3. Board ready proposal: named scope, named exclusions, and a phased plan if the board wants to spread work across budget cycles.
  4. Scheduled work: we schedule around residents, tenants and business hours, and coordinate access to parking areas ahead of time.
  5. Every Visit Proof: before and after photos in CompanyCam so the manager can report to the board without driving the site.

Tree work also ties into the rest of the landscape. Removals often lead to tree installation or sod repair, and we handle both through the same account manager. Many of our tree accounts also use our grounds maintenance crews, which means someone on site every week is watching the canopy.

Green Image works only on commercial properties. That includes HOAs and condo associations of any size, office and medical parks, retail centers and plazas, and industrial sites. We also work as a tree subcontractor for general contractors who need clearing, removals or new trees installed to schedule and inspection. Around 100 commercial properties rely on us today across 3 counties.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should commercial trees be trimmed?

Most shade trees on commercial properties need structural trimming every 1 to 3 years depending on species and growth rate. Palms need dead fronds and fruit removed at least once a year, and fast fruiting palms often need more. We set the cycle by species and location after the first walk.

Some cities require a permit before certain trees are removed or heavily pruned. Green Image checks the requirements for your city before work begins and tells you if a permit is needed and what it involves. We do not start a removal until that question is answered.

Yes. The assessment ranks work by risk, so the board can approve hazard work now and schedule lower priority trimming for a later budget cycle. Each phase is proposed with its own named scope.

Every visit includes before and after photos uploaded to CompanyCam, tied to the area of the property where the work happened. Managers use these for board reports, resident questions and insurance files.
